Διάβασα στην Telegraph, για τα 110 καλύτερα βιβλία που αποτελούν την «τέλεια βιβλιοθήκη» [110 best books: The perfect library]. Δεν υπάρχει περίπτωση -ούτε εσείς ούτε κι εγώ- να συμφωνήσουμε με όλα τα βιβλία που παραθέτουν στον κατάλογο. Υπάρχει, όπως θα διαπιστώσετε, και μια αγγλοσαξονικο-κεντρική εμμονή. Εάν εμείς φτιάχναμε έναν κατάλογο με τα καλύτερα βιβλία, εκτός από αρχαίους άραγε θα βάζαμε και κανέναν νεοέλληνα; Ιδού η απορία και το ερώτημα!
